About Adam
Adam began his AI journey in 2014 and has spent over a decade building real-world AI systems across trading, education, hospitality, and deep tech. He founded YAU CHOI R&D LIMITED to help organisations cut through the hype and implement AI that actually works.
At YAU CHOI, he built a proprietary ML trading system that delivers verified 40-80% annual returns with a stable Sharpe ratio of 2.5-3.0. He partnered with a global education group spanning 30+ schools from the UK to Asia, embedding an AI agent directly into their LMS to free teachers from administrative burden. He also co-founded a Joint Venture with luxury hospitality leaders, establishing an AI Special Task Force to increase efficiency without losing the human touch.
As Global Head of Innovation & Science at Dynex, Adam transformed a neuromorphic/quantum computing platform into a working AI research lab. He built a mode-assisted Quantum Restricted Boltzmann Machine that works on real high-dimensional data, demonstrated beyond-classical benchmarks comparable to Google Willow, and designed a quantum-inspired diffusion approach to text generation.
His work has been recognised with multiple innovation awards in Hong Kong and Mainland China, including two commendations from the Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive. He has been featured in TVB and RTHK, and speaks regularly on AI strategy and implementation.
Adam also serves as Board of Advisors & AI Director at Small Talks Circles Limited, focusing on youth education and AI ethics. He co-organizes AI Tinkerers Hong Kong & Greater Bay Area, bringing together practitioners for demo nights and collaboration with AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Baidu, and Cyberport.
